SCHOOL’S CURRENT SITUATION

Despite the past progress in the education system some school face the challenge of skills and competencies required to realize its true potential of being an effective school. In regard with this, Tanato Elementary School is monitoring the progress of the school as a whole which encompasses to the following aspects: access, quality, and governance.


ACCESS


1.   School Population


As reflected in our school report card the number of enrolees increased by 11% as compared to the previous year SY 2017-2018,  but still school population has lessen as the two  succeeding years is compared to 2016-2017. Hence, massive information dissemination campaign program was widely disseminated with the involvement of Barangay Officials and other stakeholders.


2.   Learners Materials


There is no enough learning materials for grade six but the ratio of book in other grade level is sufficient.

 

3.   Teacher Professional Development


It is clear in the data given that teachers were provided various seminars and trainings that help them enhance their professional growth. It is also stated in the data that 28% of the MOOE was allotted to teaching professional development because through seminars and trainings teachers can meet the existing demands of our millennial learners.


4.   School Awards and Recognition


It is shown in the data that the result of the school awards and recognition is not quite good compared to last two years. It therefore a challenge for the teachers to become more intense is reviewing pupils in their respective category to adhere for a better result in any competition.

 

5.   Number and Rate Dropouts by Cause


Tanato Elementary School proudly say that this school year, we have zero dropout, in the search has maintained over the past three years because of the support and guidance provided to learners just to make them feel their belongingness in school.

 

6.   Percentage of learners who completed the School Year


Promotion rate of pupils was decreased from 99% to 97.37%. Further analysis is needed to assess the cause of the increase number of retention rate.

 

7.   General Pupils’ Average (GPA) and Mean Percentile Score(MPS)


The data show that there is decreased in the GPA in different learning areas of grade 6. It is also indicated in the table that the shortfall is in SY 2018-2019. The ability to increase the MPS of the concerned grade level will be largely determined by identifying the least mastered skills to be able to cope in this school year.

 

QUALITY

1. Literacy Level


The strengthening of the reading programs and other related reading intervention activities to address the reading difficulties of the struggling readers was implemented to come up with the better result with regards to the school literacy level.


2. Numeracy Level

    The strengthening of the numeracy programs and other related arithmetic intervention activities to address the numeracy and problem - solving difficulties of the struggling pupils were implemented to come up with the better result with regards to the school numeracy level.


GOVERNANCE

For the records, Tanato Elementary School is continuously monitoring and evaluating the school SBM resulting for being in the Maturing Level. The continuous monitoring and evaluation of the SBM in our school leads to the following accomplishments.

 

1. Child – Friendly School

School survey result with qualitative interpretation of being a child-friendly school. This was done through implementing intervention activities aimed at catching those students who are at risk or dropping out resulted to improve internal efficiency of the school.

 

2. Stakeholders Participation

Much have been written that stakeholders contributed to the success of any learning institution. Fortunately, Tanato Elementary School created a harmonious relationship with the stakeholders of the community. Evidence is their active participation in different school programs activities and projects.

 

3. Learner Teacher Ratio

Learner teacher ratio is sufficient enough to strengthen the delivery of education services

 

4. Learner Toilet Ratio

The data shows that there are functional toilets that would accommodate all students.
